Medical Assessments

Our medical assessments division provides a large variety of independent medical examinations to individuals who have sustained injuries as a result of an accident. Our commitment is to provide comprehensive, substantive, cost-effective, accurate, unbiased medical reports to the referring doctors, lawyers, employers and insurers.

Chronic Pain Assessment & program

Typically a chronic pain program is required for patients who have already done most types of therapy without success and are defined as having Chronic Pain Syndrome. In order to be a chronic patient, generally your symptoms must be persistent more than 3-6 months, or pain lasting longer than expected after an injury or illness. For a person who would undergo a chronic pain program, there may also be psychological and emotional issues caused from the injuries acquired. This could involve fear of movement, pain worsening, mood disturbances, psychological problems and employment issues. Chronic pain treatment may include; Nerve Block Injections, Cortisone Injections, Medications, Acupuncture, Aqua Therapy, chiropractic, massage therapy, and psychotherapy.

We provide the following medical/legal assessments:

  • In-Home Assessment
  • Attendant Care Assessment
  • Work-site Assessment
  • Functional Ability Evaluation (FAE)
  • Neurological Assessment

 Neuropsychological Assessment

Motor vehicle accident victims can be greatly helped by psychology staff immediately following trauma. For instance, the associated shock and emotional breakdown following the accident affects the patient’s overall functioning.

We are unique as we strive towards a holistic approach. Initially, the patient will be observed interacting with our staff to determine whether he or she needs a comprehensive neuropsychological assessment.
